THANKSGIVING
Mission for Area People will be providing 100 families with Thanksgiving baskets this November 2010. IF you would like to help fill these baskets, we need the following items: Veggies, stuffing, cornmeal, canned fruit, jello, muffin mix, boxed desserts mixes, frosting, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, margarine, and turkeys!
CHRISTMAS
Mission for Area People will be providing approximately 1,200 children in our community with Christmas gifts. Your help is needed to make this possible. MAP does receive some gifts and toys from Toys for Tots, but additional help is needed.
We provide gifts to children ages 1-18. Our Holiday Gift Shoppe is set up just like a store. Parents come and shop for new unwrapped gifts for their children. Volunteers wap the gifts, put bows and name tags on them, and then carries the gifts to the family’s vehicle.
Your support is very much needed this holiday season. You can help us make a difference in the lives of children in our community. Gifts, toys, and monetary donations are appreciated.
