MAP Sends Muskegon-Area Kids Back to School with Happy Feet

Mission for Area People partnered with Norton Shores Shoe Carnival once again to provide back-to-school shoes to K-12 students in need for the 24-25 school year.


It is with generous support from community members like you that we are able to provide these vital programs for Muskegon County residents. Together we raised over $10,000 and were able to provide 168 pairs of shoes.


A special shout out to our top donors and fabulous volunteers: Hazekamp Meats Inc, Rich and Kristi Robinson, Lisa MacDowell, and the generous 20% corporate discount received from Shoe Carnival. Tabono Law lent us two volunteers for the day to help size students' feet and shop for their preferred styles, as well as our dedicated MAP volunteer, Mary Purtee.


Finally, a big thank you to Shoe Carnival General Manager, Steve, and his wonderful staff for hosting our event! We had so much fun serving our community and are already looking forward to next year's event. Check out the video below to see how it went:
