Mission for Area People is seeking 3‐6 volunteers to assist in our Food and Clothing Pantries. If you have a passion for helping others and are involved in our community, then this is a great opportunity for you! A MAP volunteer will train the Food and Clothing Pantries new volunteers. Days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:45 ‐ 2:45 pm Suggested number of volunteers is 3 for each Pantry and volunteers will alternate every 3 weeks. August 5, 7, and 9 is the Clothing Pantry and the next dates for the Food Pantry are August 26, 28, and closed August 30 for the holiday. Please contact us if you are interested. Food Pantry duties include:
Checking guests in at the window who have already been screened by our MAP staff.
Take guests shopping through our Food Pantry. You will follow a guide that tells you how much a family may receive according to their size.
Clothing Pantry duties include:
Checking guests in at the front desk.
Give them 4 bags for shopping.
Pick up empty hangers.
